Presidents of Myanmar Universities Visit USTC

    On the morning of March 27th, Mr. Kyaw Zwa Soe, former director of Ministry of the Technology Promotion and Coordination Department of Science and Technology of Myanmar and now the principal of Mandalay Computer University, took the delegation of presidents form 12 universities in Myanmar to visit the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Academician DU Jiangfeng, member of the Standing Committee and the vice president of USTC, warmly welcomed the delegation.

    The vice president and secretary-general of Anhui Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese YANG Bing, the minister of the Department of Party's United Front Work of USTC ZHANG Ling, the vice minister TAN Yong, and the vice minister of the Office of International Cooperation of USTC-JIANG Jiajie, accompanied with the delegation to enjoy the visit.

    During the school visit, the delegation enjoyed their time in the school history museum, scientific and technological achievements exhibition halls, and school museums of USTC.

    Through the visit, the delegation gained an in-depth understanding of the extraordinary history of USTC. They all praised the brilliant achievements reached by USTC and expressed good wishes to USTC.

On May 11, the Nature Publishing Group released Nature Publishing Index 2010 China, remarking “a dramatic rise in the quality of research being published by China”. University of Science and Technology of China is ranked 3rd of TOP 10 Institutions in Index 2010 China.
