In the process of resettlement, JIANG Yi, the deputy secretary of USTC, together with WANG Xiaoping, the vice principal of USTC guided this event as leaders of resettlement group. Meanwhile, Security Department, Student Affairs Department and national defense students also involve in the process for the convenience of the students. School buses and electric tricycles are provided to help students to transit their luggage.

There are six new apartment buildings which can accommodate more than 6000 students. Balconies and elevators are new elements in apartments, which make students’ daily life more convenient. The area of the dormitory is also larger compared to the old one. In addition, a new canteen is opened in the middle campus.

Students are very satisfied with the new apartment buildings in spite of the tiring process. Most of them say they wouldn’t even think of going back to their old dormitories. In the meantime, they also suggest that further improvements can be achieved, such as adding vending machine and study rooms, etc.

New dormitories provide students with more comfortable place to study and the completion of the resettlement process indicates that the middle campus officially opens.
