Jointly initiated by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and the municipal government, the forum features high-level academic reports and several sub-forums covering maths, physics, chemistry and interdisciplines.

The event will bring together 200-odd participants from the United States, Canada, Australia, Britain, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan. They will discuss cutting-edge research, innovation-driven development as well as how to develop top universities.
