USTC Alumnus Yan Yushan Granted the Award of the U.S. Department of Energy

        According to the World Daily, Yan Yushan, chairman of the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, University of California at Riverside, was granted the U.S. Department of Energy's ARPA-E award (Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy) for his outstanding research on fuel cells. Altogether, 37 scholars across the U.S. were granted this award in recognition of their fine work. 

        Professor Yan Yushan, originally from Jilin Province of China, graduated from USTC before he went to the California Institute of Technology where he later received his doctoral degree. He has been teaching at the University of California at Riverside during the past eleven years.
