RESEARCH FEATURES
Research achievements have been consecutively acknowledged by distinguished academic authorities.
Among domestic universities, USTC has the largest number of research achievements that have been acknowledged by distinguished academic authorities, such as “Top 10 Pieces of News in Sci & Tech in the World”, “The Top Physics Stories of the Year”, “Top 10 Pieces of News in Sci & Tech in China”, “Top 10 News Stories in Basic Research in China”, “Top 10 Research Advances in the Universities in China”, and so on. USTC is the only university in China that has been listed in the “Top 10 Pieces of News in Sci & Tech in China” for the recent eight consecutive years.
“Top 10 Pieces of News in Sci & Tech in China” has been held for 17 sessions jointly conducted by Academic Divisions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Bureau of Academic Activities of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Science Times Media Group. More than 500 academicians have participated in voting to make the public further understand the trend of scientific development at home and abroad. For the strict selecting processes and emphasizing on high academic standards, “Top 10 Pieces of News in Sci & Tech in China” has become an annual benchmark for frontier science and technology.
