On the evening of June 14th, the 2019 Eternal USTCer graduation ceremony and See You graduation party were held at the Auditorium in the east campus of University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). When a group of USTC students is about to graduate, such a grand party will be held when the graduates will get together to spend a good time, make wishes, encourage, and say goodbye to each other. The university leaders and alumni companied with nearly 2000 graduates were crowded in the auditorium, enjoining the party together.
At the begging, the Chairman SHU Gequn delivered his congratulations and blessing on behalf of the university that “You graduates all have successfully finished your study in USTC and will soon start a new journey of life. This time is calling for talents and you are the hope of this era. I hope that you won’t forget your initial dreams and keep the time mission in mind so that the great banner of patriotism will be highly fluttering forever. Then I hope you aim high and down to earth so that your youth can bloom more beautiful colors in the broad world of the new era. Finally, I hope you will be always insisting on justice, keeping innovating, remembering the school motto, and paying back society.”
Afterwards, on behalf of the school,the Secretry-General FU Yao accepted the first collective donation of 2019 graduates, which represents the love of the graduates. Then, representatives from alumni association said that “No matter where you are, the USTC Alumni Association is your shelter, and you are always a part of USTC. No matter how far you go, please remember to go back home.”
Then, it’s show time. The evening party was based on Departure Immediately and consisted of three chapters: chapter one, Fist Meet/Young; chapter two: Move Together/Vitality; chapter three: Youth/Prosperous China. During the wonderful and memorable time, the audience heard various styles of music, enjoyed enthusiasm, light, and soft dance performances, watched the magic brought by magician, and appreciated humorous and thought-provoking cross talk show. These three chapters recalled students’ memory when they came here for the first time with boundless expectations, then struggled in the school life, and spirited them to embrace the bright future. In the end, with the melody of the school song “The Eternal East Wind”, everyone stood up and sang together passionately, giving their most beautiful wishes to friends and themselves.
See You is not farewell, but a bless for the next meet, no matter when, no matter where, and no matter how.
