Student associations held a garden party on September 8th and September 9th on Science Avenue in the middle campus and playground in the west campus respectively.
There were more than 80 associations attending the party, which were categorized into seven categories: comprehensive practice, academic science and technology, cultural research, sports, intellectual leisure, charity and performing arts. The student associations had participated enthusiastically, many of them brought professional equipment such as instruments, sound box and even robots, which made the party very lively.
On the day of the event, president BAO Xinhe, came to the garden party held in the middle campus and understood how the activity was developed. After listening to the introductions about their own club activities, president BAO was pleased to participate in the game and interacted with the new 2018 classmates who participated in the club recruiting. President Bao also encouraged students to cultivate their interests and hobbies by actively participating in student associations while working hard on their studies, and became a fully developed high-quality individual.
At the opening ceremony of the garden party held on September 8, the results of star rating of student associations for 2017-2018 were announced. Ten associations, such as the Linux User Group, the Student Animation Association, the Student Choir, the Student Scientific Investigation and Exploration Association, have been awarded five-star student associations. Zhao Lin, deputy secretary of the school Youth League Committee, issued certificates to the representative of the winning associations and took a group photo.
Students associations make campus vibrant, the school league committee guides and manages 80 student associations throughout the school, and closely follows the mission of “Develop high morality” and accelerate the layout of “Rehearsal in East campus, Daily activities in west campus, Cultural Innovation in middle campus”, relying on venues in several campuses to carry out healthy campus cultural activities for student organizations, interest groups and other students.
The student associations’ garden party is not only a grand event for students' clubs to recruit new members, but also an important stage to show the campus culture. The success of the garden party has kicked off the activities of the new semester. Up to now, about 3000 people have participated in the community recruitment activities. In order to promote student activities, the third garden party will be held in Activity Center in the east campus on the morning of September 16.
