Undergraduate students of grade 2016 and 2017 moved to the middle campus of University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) on April 21, 2018.

In the process of resettlement, JIANG Yi, the deputy secretary of USTC, together with WANG Xiaoping, the vice principal of USTC guided this event as leaders of resettlement group. Meanwhile, Security Department, Student Affairs Department and national defense students also involved in the process for the convenience of the students. School buses and electric tricycles were provided to help students to transit their luggage.
There are six new apartment buildings which can accommodate more than 6000 students. Balconies and elevators are new elements in apartments, which make students’ daily life more convenient. The area of the dormitory is also larger compared to the old one. In addition, a new canteen is opened in the middle campus.

Students were very satisfied with the new apartment buildings in spite of the tiring process. Most of them said they wouldn't even think of going back to their old dormitories.They also suggested the further improvements, such as adding vending machine and study rooms, etc.
New dormitories provide students with more comfortable place to study and the completion of the resettlement process indicates that the middle campus officially opens.
