On the afternoon of November 29, YE Jun, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences came to visit our campus.
Professor PAN Jianwei,executive vice President, extended warm welcome to Professor YE Jun. Recently, six national research institutions have been approved, including Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale. PAN said that USTC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Professor YE on the basis of the research institution. YE said that he was greatly honored to visit USTC. “The establishment of research institutions will be bound to facilitate national development in science and technology and I stand ready to further deepen exchanges and collaboration with USTC,” YE said, adding that “I welcome young talents to work in my laboratory in a joint effort to promote the development of science and technology of China.” During the meeting, PAN presented to YE a certificate of Einstein Chair Professor of USTC. 

After the meeting, Prof. YE Jun gave a lecture entitled "Atomic clock and quantum physics" at the lecture hall of Physical Chemistry Building of East Campus.
