The online opening ceremony included anti-epidemic songs, harmonica solo, paper-folding propaganda, photography exhibition, film and television adaptation and dubbing, etc. These activities fully demonstrated the profound understanding of student communities on China's excellent traditional culture and the enthusiasm of home-based creation during epidemic prevention. The song Write a Story to Us created by the Music Society expressed the gratitude to anti-epidemic workers and the confidence in the victory of the anti-epidemic; the Paper-folding Society combined the traditional paper-folding with the epidemic prevention publicity and vividly displayed the epidemic prevention knowledge in daily life; the harmonica solo from the Harmonica Society combined the traditional art with modern content, reflecting students’ love for the beauty of campus; the film mixed clip adaptation produced by the Dubbing Society not only depicted the responsibilities of front-line medical staff, but also vividly described the interesting things that students learn online at home. The whole opening ceremony was lively in form and profound in content, which showed the youth power and was well received by teachers and students.
During the traditional culture month, the student societies will also carry out 11 theme activities with their own characteristics around the excellent traditional Chinese culture, such as appreciation of Chinese traditional music and art, outing photography, poetry collection, traditional animation screening, etc. These activities would continue to give full display to the educational function of the student societies and the youth power of anti-epidemic activities.
The series activities were sponsored by the USTC Youth League Committee and Management Committee of Students Society. Through the establishment of a unified publicity platform, excellent community activities were selected to gather the cultural connotation of USTC, inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
