The postgraduate recommendation is an important part of the postgraduate enrollment, which promotes the selection of diversified outstanding students. USTC has always attached great importance to this work. This year, the quantity and quality of the admitted students have reached a new record.

The number and quality of students enrolled in the promotion and exemption program have reached a record high: 2,563 students were planned to be admitted, with an increase by 17.0% to 372 people. Among them, the enrollment of "C9 University" accounted for 27.7%, that of "985 University" accounted for 49.7%, and that of "211 university" reached 89.0%. More than 90% of the students enrolled in came from the double first-class colleges and universities.

The promotion rate of 2021 undergraduate students in our university has also increased, exceeding 40% for the first time. A total of 811 students have obtained the qualification of postgraduate recommendation, 644 among which would be admitted to our graduate school.
The Graduate school of USTC has been relying on the "information platform" and "volunteer platform" to carry out the "three precision and accurate" publicity work characterized by "accurate object, accurate content and accurate method".
Based on the current situation of graduate enrollment every year, the Graduate School of our university has planned, innovated and improved the recruitment publicity work in advance. Affected by the epidemic situation, a major change in the propaganda mode appeared.
On the basis of previous years' experience, in the initial stage of publicity, a volunteer team was established with the graduate school and 31 volunteers be the hub, and carried out publicity and timely conveyed relevant policies through Wechat, microblog, SMS, email, QQ group and other information platforms. After that, the volunteers organized targeted online propaganda in their respective alma mater. Propaganda and innovation of the new media publicity platform such as Bilibili and Tik-Tok were launched, with several live streaming to introduce the school enrollment policy, campus culture, research platform, research results, tutor situation, etc. from the perspective of students.

After the summer camp, the graduate school invited YUAN Lanfeng, WANG Yuming, MA Xinan, ZHANG Qiang, YUAN Yefei, HU Bing, SHI Yunli and other professors to hold a live activity entitled "YUAN Lanfeng's Interpretation of University of Science and Technology: Foundation and Characteristics of China's Famous Scientific Research School", and the audience added up to 43,000 people. Besides, series live broadcast invited outstanding graduate students to share their research and learning experience, and answer questions and doubts for candidates.
