Culture and Art Festival 2020 finally set off at the end of year. As a festival characterized by students and student clubs, all are dedicated to enjoy a feast of performance and cultural and art activities.
Hip-Hop Night 3.0: Youth and Fun
The Hip-Hop Night 3.0 consisted of 20 diverse programs, including street dance, freestyle cypher and exciting DJ. Lights and music formed an immersive space for audience to fully enjoy fantastic shows and the charm of hip-hop with the rhythm.
This year focused more on original compositions than popular songs, displaying students' love for singing and positive attitude towards both study and life. Some songs even represented students' aspirations and missions to pursue excellence. The whole show successfully ended with "Sing for the University", performed by all singers.
That night, students actively expressed their passions for youth via Hip-Hop and songs that demonstrated their positive attitudes towards music and life. A total of over 300 music lovers in the campus participated in this show night.

Green Leaves Stage Play: Absurdly Attractive
Nearly 1300 students and teachers who were enthusiastic about Chinese modern drama were present, creating a warm atmosphere for all to enjoy themselves.
As the play unfolded, performers illustrated the truth of an accidence happened in police office in Italy in a vivid way. A piece of absurd portrait painting, a case of accidental death and plenty of unexpected drama language built up a new space for audience to wander.
Laughers against noise; absurdity against reality; the audience stepped back and forth from the virtual world to the real stage and continued to reflect on the ongoing plot. When the play ended, the audience broke out in applause.
The play is organized by Shuzhi Performance Club. It took up to two months for director and performers to practice and improve, hoping to present an excellent performance.

Masquerade Ball: An Escape from Reality
The masquerade ball welcomed all students and teachers and 200 of them came and enjoyed. It was designed to encourage them to present themselves, promote mutual communication and enrich their cultural life.
Bright light, fresh fruits, sweet deserts made up the decoration of the ballroom. Yet the most attractive ones are decorated masks. Hostess WANG Peibei stepped up onto the stage to announce the starting of masquerade ball.
The ball began with the show presented by Ballroom Dancing Club, characterized with tacit cooperation and freely dancing. Then, the Exotic Latin Group members showed Salsa, a type of Latin American dance, led by their counselor.
During the short break time, students and teachers of Modern Dance Group performed Waltz and Tango respectively, demonstrating the elegance and agility. Drawing to the end, with Samba music, Latin Group members gave us a visual feast of speedy and potent dance, resulting continuing cheers and applause.
Covered under mask, everyone can escape from concerns and worries. Make up your courage to make friends with others!
