A research team led by Prof. XU Jixian from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) has made significant progress in Perovskite solar cells, setting a certified world record for Perovskite cell steady-state efficiency of 26.1%. This record was included in Best Research-Cell Efficiency Chart by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) of the United States on July 18th.

With a history of nearly 50 years, NREL Chart is the oldest photovoltaic world record ranking. Its authority is recognized by the international photovoltaic academia and industry, representing the most cutting-edge technological developments in the field of photovoltaics.
This research is the latest result of Prof. Xu Jixian's team's continuous exploration of the new single-junction perovskite and the next-generation crystalline silicon-perovskite stacked cells. The inclusion of this research by NREL Chart represents a new breakthrough in the research of photovoltaic technology at USTC.
