On the evening of Oct. 19th and 26th, USTC library held the sixth Room Escape in the east and west libraries.

This year's registration is still popular: about 945 students signed up for the activity, covering all the schools and departments in USTC. More than 90 students signed up for the project team. Among them, about 30 students participated in the proposition, and more than 60 students served as NPC. Students of the proposition group carefully planned the background story, designed clues for the secret room; and NPC checked and perfected these questions. On the day of the Room Escape, there were still many students forming teams on the spot.
The quiet library was full of laughter on the two nights of Room Escape. Holding puzzle cards, the participating teams were discussing, searching, and doing intense calculation and inference in the library, while NPC were counting time and making weird and scary jokes to increase the terrifying atmosphere with mysterious background music provided by the Student Philharmonic Society, so that the teams could feel the adrenaline rush in the dark library. Meanwhile, members of the Student Photography Society recorded wonderful moments in various areas.

In addition to the students, each reading room in the library was equipped with a teacher from USTC Library who would take charge of site coordination. A total of 12 teachers worked until 22pm in the night. The teacher on duty said that students' happy smile and great evaluation would be the best rewards for them.

The Room Escape in the Library strengthened students' understanding of the distribution and coding rule of library, enriched their after-school life, and displayed the colorful and interesting side of the library. The students said: This activity is so exciting, and the staff were very friendly and patient, we could enjoy ourselves and meet new friends”, “I hope the Room Escape would be better and better.
