"Praise" wechat group originates from an online paid service, that a person is invited into a wechat group filled with strangers to get praise from various perspectives. Now "praise" wechat group, or namely "quaqua" group is becoming popular among universities. Students join the group and praise others voluntarily. The praise you get will always beyond your expectation.
One of the group member said "I am 200 grams now. Please praise me." The members responsed actively. "There are millions of possibilities in life. Thanks bro, for showing your own unique choice one answered." Another member praised then, as "200 grams are the witness of your life experience and your growth. It is obvious that you are having a colorful and wonderful life."
Another student suffered from headache, seeking for support. One comforted him that "You stick to your aim for getting praise even having headache. I believe that your perseverance will guide you a broader and more owesome future." While another student took an alternative prepective as "Spring coming brings bright days. When your peers are enjoying spring out, you are studying. This explains your headache. I am impressed by your strong will of purchasing research accomplishment. I have to praise you!".
One member’s bike was stolen and other members tried their best to "praise" him. One member noticed his screen name said "I need to parise your great screen name." The other showing his/her respect for getting a bike in such young age. And soon comed a third one that "You are rich enough for buying cars but you choose bikes, which is environmental friendly. Praise for you!".
There are several "praise" wechat group in USTC. One of those was found jointly by Kong, Gui and Chen. Their wechat group expanded to more than 100 members within 3 days. Speaking of their first intention for organizing the group, they said "We start it for fun. Also we want to utilize our strength in praising others (lol)."

The topic of praise varying from "I got up late" or "I didn’t study whole morning" to "I am going out for exercise" and "My delicate hand-made earings". Stangers particate in praising people they didn’t and won’t meet. When asked of gain in "praise" wechat group, some said "I learnt how to deliver kindness and support others", some said "Prasing is telling the truth, some mentioned they got joy and others even improved Chinses level." It seems that "praise" wechat group is more than a place to satisfy students’ peer recognition. Students release their bitterness in a funny way and helping out smoothing their stress with a light altitude.
