On Oct 29^th, a special audio-visual anime concert Castle in the Sky was held in the auditorium of east campus. The music was performed by Longmao Band led by the pianist ZHOU Xixi. Over two thousand teachers and students attended the concert and the atmosphere kept warm and high. Aiming at encouraging the appreciation of art and constructing harmonious campus culture, the concert has played an active role as a part of the college cultural quality education.

The music list included master pieces from animated films created by Hayao Miyazaki and Joe Hisaishi—the expression of warmness and sincerity from My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service and Howl's Moving Castle, smooth and gentle rhythm from Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, graceful and charming tone from Porco Rosso, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and Ponyo on the Cliff, which were so impressive and hit the mind directly.

The beautiful notes given by pianists, violinists and cellists were sometimes peaceful and lingering while other times passionate and intense.The piano solo performed by the pianist ZHOU Xixi accompanied by animation on the large screen recalled sweet memories of those fans of Hayao Miyazaki. The curtain descended with waves of warm applauses and the superb skills of musicians met with a favorable reception from teachers and students.
