From November 3 to 6, the 7th Asian Triangle Heavy-ion Conference (ATHIC 2018) was held at the University of Science and Technology China.
The biennial conference this year was hosted by the Department of Modern Physics, the State Key Laboratory of Particle Detection and Electronics and the Collaborative Innovation Center for Particles and Interactions. About 200 experts, scholars and graduate students from the United States, Germany, Japan, Korea, India and other countries attended the meeting.
The ATHIC conference is the premier academic research forum in Asia for the discussion of heavy ion collisions and related topics through the lens of experiment and theory. The topics of the conference this year include QCD at high temperature, baryon-rich QCD matter, collective dynamics, correlations and fluctuations, electromagnetic probes, new theoretical developments, future facilities and experiments.
The next ATHIC will be held in Inchon, Korea.
