More than 40 experts, including foreign mathematicians Osamu Iyama, Helmut Lenzing and two Visiting Professors of USTC, Henning Krause and Claus Michael Ringel, attended the workshop. Other Chinese experts, scholars and students from the Tsinghua University, the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the East China Normal University and the Sichuan University also participate the conferences. Li Jiayu, the executive director of the School of Mathematical Sciences in USTC, introduced the recent progress of the school and gave the words of welcome. 

 The workshop consists of two parts: (1) series of introductory lectures on weighted projective spaces, in March 5th-7th, and (2) a Mini-Workshop consisting of invited talks on related topics, March 8-9. On the three days, Osamu Iyama, Helmut Lenzing and David Ploog, gave the three series of introductory lectures: (1) Main properties of weighted projective lines, (2) Geigle-Lenzing complete intersection rings as a higher dimensional generalization of weighted projective lines, (3) G-linearisations.
