On Aug 6th, Prof. Menno de Jong, the full professor of Communication Studies of University of Twente（UT）and Mr. Zheng Chang, UT Representative for China, visited USTC. Professor Rongting Zhou, the Executive Director of the department of Sci-Tech Communication and Policy of USTC, met with the delegation.

The seminar, held in the conference room, 218 administrative building, was hosted by Dr. Jianxun Chu from the department of Sci-Tech Communication and Policy. Dr. Chu expressed his warm welcome to this visit and briefly introduced the history and culture of USTC. Then, Professor Zhou made a detailed introduction of the department of Sci-Tech Communication and Policy. 

Prof. Menno de Jong described in details about Department of Communication Studies, UT, and disseminated the scientific and technological outlook in life and its important applications. Menno de Jong also introduced the master's and doctoral programs of UT. 

Besides, on the meeting, the two parties exchanged ideas on new media applications as well as the cooperation and exchanges between the two universities in the future. 

Menno de Jong, professor, Ph.D., Netherlands Department of Communication Studies of the University of Twente, Research in the field of the organizational communication, the technology dissemination and the research methods applied communication. American Society for Technical Communication (STC) Researcher, Technical Communication magazine editor, Journal of Business Communication and many other parts of the core journals’ editorial board.
