The First Sino-Americas Workshop and School on the Bound-State Problem in Continuum QCD was held at University of Science and Technology of China on Oct. 22-26. The workshop was chaired by Prof. WANG Qun. Prof. YE Bangjiao, Deputy Dean of the School of Physics, gave the opening address.
About 65 physicists took part in the workshop. The participants presented their recent work on Parton distribution functions and spin structure of hadrons, QCD in-medium, QCD phase transitions, AdS/CFT and novel approaches to QCD, Dyson-Schwinger equations and QCD and related topics . Several world leading theorists, i.e., Prof. Craig Roberts from Argonne National Laboratory, Prof Dirk Rischke from University Frankfurt and Prof. Stanley Brodsky from SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, were invited to give review talks. The conference made a platform for international cooperation between USTC and other institutions in elementary particle physics.
