The international workshop on frontiers of combustion chemistry was inaugurated in USTC on September 26th. More than 60 professors in combustion chemistry from home and abroad attended the meeting, on which a series of discussion around the latest advances and frontier researches in the field of combustion chemistry were carried out.
On the meeting, many famous professors made speeches, including chairman of the Combustion Institute, academician of Germany Academy of Sciences, Prof. Katharina Kohse-Höinghaus, chief editor of Combustion and Flame, Prof. Philippe Dagaut and American Physical Society Fellow, Prof. Stephen Klippenstein, to name a few.
Many frontier topics regarding the new advances in oxygen fuel combustion reaction kinetics and low temperature combustion research, the research status of advanced synthetic fuel combustion reaction kinetics, development of elementary reaction and error model analysis methods, biomass conversion and fundamental combustion research of nitrogen fuel were discussed by the attendants.
The meeting provided a good platform for researchers in relating fields to know the latest development, development needs, advanced skills and great challenges in combustion chemistry, promoted the mutual communication between China and foreign professors and exerted positive influence on the general development of combustion, energy and environment researches.
