On October 21, the ninth alumni-enterprise job fair of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) was held in the multi-functional hall on the third floor of the Student Activity Center on west campus.
Spot of the job fair
A total of 80 alumni enterprises participated in the fair, most of which were founded by our graduates. The related fields include chemical industry, electronics, materials, new energy, education, finance, Internet and others. The job fair was estimated to provide more than 2,000 jobs for all 2021 graduates.
At the job fair, alumni-enterprise representatives and students were actively engaged in the conversations about future career planning and industry prospects. The alumni enterprises thought positively of the talent cultivation of USTC and believed that through the job fair, they could enhance the communication and interaction with USTC, which not only helps the development of the alumni enterprises, but also provides constructive opinions for the talent cultivation pattern of their alma mater.
Students communicating with the alumni-enterprise representatives
The “USTC Alumni-Enterprise Job Fair” has been held for eight years, becoming a bond and bridge between our graduates and alumni enterprises, facilitating their communication, and providing guidance and help for students' career development and planning. It has provided recruitment platform and opportunity for nearly one thousand (times) alumni enterprises, contributing to talent-hunting of the enterprises.
It is worth noting that the job fair provides a wider range of employment opportunities and channels for students, and thus boosts the employment rate of students. Especially, in April this year, in order to alleviate the employment pressure of graduates owing to the Covid-19, Office of Admission and Employment and Office of Foreign Liaison and Foundation Affairs, co-hosted the "2020 Alumni-Enterprises Online Bilateral-Choose Job Fair" to provide more job opportunities for students during the pandemic.
