The kite festival of 2023 was officially held in the high-tech campus of USTC in April. The balmy spring afternoon is a fine time for this gathering, which attracted a total of more than 300 people from 70 league branches, laboratories, or dormitory teams on the campus.
Before kite-flying, painting materials were offered in order. Participants collaborated with their team members, creating various colorful kites. Some drew the USTC mascot, the library, and other representative signs of the college, while others drew natural landscapes or cartoon characters. Then, all the kites designed and drawn by students were flown over the green playground, attracting passersby to take photos.
Besides, the event also includes other activities such as writing wish postcards, offering commemorative badges, and taking group photos. All the students who got involved were having a wonderful time in therapeutic activities. This festival enriched the extracurricular life of students and cultivated a vigorous atmosphere on campus. The high-tech campus will continue to work in this aspect, and more sports and artistic activities will be held there in the future.
