Abstract:In topological strings, there are many integral invariants obtained by counting BPS states, due to the works of Gopakmumar-Vafa and Ooguri-Vafa. Based on the large N duality of Chern-Simons-Witten theory and topological string, knot/link invariants appear naturally in topolgical strings. In this talk, I will describe the following framework in detail: from a framed knot, one obtains a framed (deformed) A-polynomial which can be viewed as the mirror curve of the Calabi-Yau 3-fold. Then, by using this framed A-polynomial, we compute the invariants predicted by Ooguri and Vafa in open topological string, and we prove the integrality of these invariants which confirms the conjecture of Ooguri and Vafa.
