Combinatorial Objects Related to Gauss Sums and Gauss Periods
Date:2016-06-16

Detail:Gauss sums are fundamental objects in number theory. Yet they have played an important role in the study of many combinatorial objects, such as difference sets, cyclic codes, association schemes, and circulant weighing matrices. In this talk, we survey some recent results in combinatorics obtained by using Gauss sums and Gauss periods.
