Self-adaptive Moving Mesh Methods for a Class of Nonlinear Wave Equations with Hodograph Transformation
Date:2016-06-16

Speaker:Prof. FENG Baofeng,Department of Mathematics, University of Texas-Pan American

Time:2016-06-21 9:40—10:40

Place:Room 1518, School of Mathematical Sciences

Detail: Some recent work of integrable discretizations for a class of soliton  equations with hodograph transformations will  be reported.  These equations include the Camassa-Holm equation, the complex short pulse and coupled short pulse equations. Then, I will show how these integrable semi-discretizations can be successfully used as a self-adaptive moving mesh method for the numerical simulation of these PDEs.
